ANFI TAURO UPDATE

Work continues on the final 9 - holes at Anfi Tauro in the Canary Islands. The above photo is a view of the 11th green (grey area) with gravel in place, awaiting the arrival of sand topmix. This photo is taken from #13 green, which is approximately 30 meters (100 feet) above hole #11. To the right, #10 fairway is visible. In the background, the new hotel(still under construction) is visible.

Above is a view from behind the 10th green (par 4). The green (in the foreground) was recently planted. Bunker edging (white plastic) on the left side is in place and the green surround is awaiting warmer weather to be planted with Paspalum.

These photos provide some indication of the scale of the work. More than 3 million cubic meters of rock, sand and dirt have been moved to create the golf course and provide building pads for the adjacent resort.
We are "celebrating" our 10 year anniversary in design and construction of this golf course. It has been a long and convoluted story and adventure. The intention is to complete the construction work this summer and hopefully open all the golf course by October 2007.
In the meantime, reactions to the first nine holes have been extremely positive.
